Our Safeguarding Policy:

At PPF your child’s safety is paramount. Because of this, all of our training centres have child safeguarding measures in place. These measures involve certain guidelines that pertain to the behaviour of parents, coaches and other members of staff. Our safeguarding policy consists of four parts:

  • Parental Conduct

  • Sign in and Sign out

  • Session and Match Observation

  • Photography and Videography

Parents Conduct:

While parents are free to share their opinions, we encourage all to do so respectfully. Unnecessary interventions to sessions or abuse of any of our staff, participants or other parents will not be tolerated and can result in a ban for the parent as well as the termination of their child’s subscription. Parents are allowed to discuss footballing matters with coaches and staff as long as the discussion is respectful, however these conversations cannot occur during session times.

Sign in and Sign out:

Every child must be signed in and signed out by their parent/guardian at the start/end of every session. If somebody is collecting your child on your behalf, you must inform your local training centre’s welfare officer beforehand. Please note that we will not allow your child to depart from a session under the care of anyone under 18 years of age. In this situation our welfare officer will contact the parents and arrange for them or another adult to collect the child. If a child is dropped off at a session by a non adult, the welfare officer will not allow both parties to leave until the parents can confirm that they arranged for such person/s to drop their child off. The child will be then signed in by the welfare officer.

Please note that if your child is over the age of 11 they can sign in and sign out without being accompanied by an adult. This is possible as long as the child’s parents have sent in written confirmation via text or email.

Session and Match observation:

Parents are a huge part of every youth football organisation; without them, children will not have the true support they need to excel at the beautiful game. We understand parents watching training sessions is a big part of that. At PPF parents are more than welcome to watch their children train and play, however we strictly do not allow parents to enter our training facilities in any capacity. Every training centre has a designated parents zone where parents can stand together to watch their child train. At matches we are more flexible as we understand parents want to see all the action close up so parents are allowed to stand at a reasonable distance behind the touchline.

Photography and Videography:

At our training grounds taking photos and videos of our children sessions is strictly prohibited. This is due to the fact that some parents have opted out of having their child being on camera for any purposes including the creation of promotion material. There are also other parents who do not appreciate the child’s face being on a strangers camera roll. If you wish to take photos/videos of your child you may do so if the child is outside the training pitch and that other people’s children are not in shot.
